FAQs
How is Cashback Rewards different?
There are one or two cashback sites on the Internet already, and you can even get paid cashback on your credit card purchases or from new mortgage applications.
Cashback Rewards is different – we reward you, and enable you to Support Charities.
We share the cashback given by retailers with you, and allow you to donate the cashback earned to your favourite charity. We even assist you to make the donation under Gift Aid, which increases the amount donated, and then we add 5% on top of your donation.
Unlike some sites, we require charities to register themselves, and they monitor the donations made.
We are also members of the Institute of Fundraisers – we believe that this also demonstrates our commitment to rewarding you and supporting charities.

Why does my account show my Cashback as pending?
When transactions are initially reported to us by the Retailer (generally within 48 hours, but it can take up to 30 days for some) they are added to your account straight away and show as Pending.
The retailer may then take a further 30 days to approve the transaction. This allows for returned items, cancelled orders or even fraudulent card transactions.
Once a transaction has been approved, and the Affiliate Network has paid us, we will update your account to show that transaction as Cleared (most transactions will be cleared within 60 days of being added to your account. Exceptions to this include Insurance policy purchases, Financial product purchases, and some holiday bookings).
Once your Cashback is cleared, it is available to claim.

How do I donate?
When a member makes a claim for cashback they will be given the opportunity to make a charity donation to the charity of their choice. This is not mandatory and you may choose to bypass this step and continue on to submit your payment request. Should you choose to donate, simply follow the onscreen instructions given during the process.
Donations made by a member are paid directly into the account created for the charity when it signed up to Cashback Rewards, Cashback Rewards does not collect on the charities behalf nor do we ask that members donate. All donations should be voluntary and made because the member wishes to make them.
As an Organisational member of the Institue of Fundraising Cashback Rewards agrees that in the case of any dispute pertaining to donations, Cashback Rewards agrees to abide by the decision of the Institute of Fundraising or an independent body appointed or approved by them to act as arbitrator.

My Cashback is not tracking what can I do about it
The tracking used on the Internet today has never been more reliable, but also the antivirus and adblock software has never been so efficiant either, so tracking is never 100%. There are things you can do to improve your tracking, please read

Daily Clicks are even more of a problem because the retailers use cookies and remember IP addresses as a way of detecting false clicks.
Following the steps in the page above will help, along with removing cookies, spreading your clicks out over time, using a new browser window between clicks on the same retailer, as will taking the time to look through the site you click through too. After all thats what you're getting paid to do.

Why haven't I received my Referral Bonus?
Cashback Rewards pays each member £2.50 for every referral that reaches £25 of Cashback earned, this does not include money gained from bonuses or prizes.
If your friend has been paid out but you have not yet been paid a referral bonus it will be because your friend has also been paid bonuses or prize money and this is part of their payout figure.

Who or what is an Affiliate Network?
Affiliate Networks are the intermediaries between us and the retailers.
They supply the code to enable purchases to track, they work with retailers to decide which sites may promote them, and they invoice retailers based on traffic / sales in any given period. They are also the people who pay us…they invoice the retailers for the commission we earn, plus a little bit for themselves, then they pay us. Once we have their money, we can clear your cashback, and pay you!
We work with about 25 different Network - and they each have slightly different methods, both for reporting valid sales, for rejecting sales (goods retuned, invalid details supplied, fraud etc) and for managing Untracked sales.
Please also see the Forum for futher details on how the Affiliate Networks work with us.

My purchase has not tracked, what should I do?
If you have made a purchase, having clicked through to a Retailer from Cashback Rewards, it should be showing on your account within 48 hours (See FAQ re Affiliate Networks for exceptions).
If the cashback is not showing as Pending, then click on Manage My Account, and then on Click History (on the left hand side, in your Control Panel).
This lists the unique Transaction ID that is automatically created each & every time you click out from Cashback Rewards to any retailer.
Identify the transaction ID that relates to your Purchase.
If the purchase took place over 30 days ago, just click on the notepad icon to the right of the transaction, and this will start to raise a Support Ticket.
If not, then make a note of the Transaction ID, date of transaction and retailer name. Then, click on Support Tickets (again, in your Control Panel), and Raise a Support Ticket.
Add all the information required, and then copy & paste your order confirmation email into the Comment section. This helps us provide the evidence we need to the Network for them to investigate / pass on to the Retailer for them to track the purchase.
Untracked sales must be reported to us within 60 days of the purchase (Some retailers require us to report Untracked sales within 7 days, this is stated within their description).
Each time we reply to your Support Ticket, you will receive an email notification - make sure that your correct email address is registered on your Account Details.
Finally, please be patient, Untracked sales are not the top priority for any retailer, so some tend to be quite slow at sorting them out. Having said that, I will regularly chase the Network to ensure that it is eventually resolved.

It's been 60 days already, and my cashback has not cleared?
We advertise on behalf of retailers by working with Affiliate Networks. They act as an intermediary between us and all the retailers whose adverts appear on the site.
When a member clicks through our site, and makes a purchase, this is reported to us by the Network and we add the cashback to your account. It will show as Pending.
Generally, within 30 days, the retailer will confirm that the sale was valid (valid credit card details were used, items have not been returned, policy premiums are being paid etc)
The retailer then has a further period in which to pay the Network, they then in turn pay us. Each Network we work with (we currently work with about 25 different Networks) makes a payment to us once per month. At that stage, your cashback is cleared.
If the Cashback has been added to your account, but you are still waiting for it to be cleared, please bear with us. We do keep an eye on each of the Networks to ensure that cashback is paid to us promptly.
Should Cashback be delayed (we have one or two retailers who are always late paying the Networks, which means we are late getting paid ourselves, and so are you!) we will notify you via email or the Forum.

Why am I charged £0.65 to get paid by cheque?
It costs us a lot more to pay our members via cheque than it does by BACS and to ensure we can keep our Payment Threshold down to £25 we have to charge £0.65 to cover the cost of the postage, envelope and the banking fees. The £0.65 cost will be taken of the amount of money back you are being paid by cheque. Remember BACS are completely free and it’s the most popular choice.
